Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
In short: JustAddMP mods are free, unofficial and experimental. You use them entirely at your own risk, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for anything that happens as a result.
1.About these terms
These terms apply to justaddmp.com (the “Website”) and to any mods, tools, code, downloads or other material made available by JustAddMP, whether through the Website or our GitHub repositories (together, the “Mods”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean JustAddMP and its contributors.
By using the Website or downloading, installing or using any Mod, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or the Mods.
2.Unofficial, fan-made software
The Mods are unofficial, fan-made projects. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game developer, publisher, platform holder (including Valve and Steam) or rights holder. All game names, trademarks and assets belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the games the Mods relate to.
3.Use at your own risk
Mods change how games behave and are experimental by nature. You use them entirely at your own risk. In particular, you accept that using a Mod may:
- cause crashes, bugs, data loss, or corrupted or lost save games;
- break the end-user licence agreement, terms of service or rules of a game or platform, which could lead to warnings, suspensions or bans of your accounts;
- trigger anti-cheat systems;
- stop working, or cause problems, after a game, platform or operating system update;
- involve running executable files and code on your computer, which carries security risks; and
- share network information, such as your IP address, with the other players you connect to.
It is your responsibility to check that you are allowed to use a Mod with your copy of a game, to back up your saves and files before using one, and to only play with people you trust.
4.No warranties
The Website and the Mods are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, conditions and representations, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, security and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the Website or any Mod will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free from viruses or other harmful components, compatible with your system, or that any problem will be fixed. Information on the Website, including a Mod’s status or features, may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
5.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Website, the Mods, or these terms, however it arises, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, and even if it was foreseeable or we were told it might happen.
This includes, without limitation, any:
- loss of or damage to data, save games, software, hardware or devices;
- account suspensions, bans or loss of access to games, platforms or services;
- loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or opportunity;
- security incidents, malware or unauthorised access; and
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to £0, reflecting that the Website and the Mods are provided free of charge.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
6.Third-party services and links
The Website links to and relies on third-party services, including GitHub and Steam. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
The source code for each Mod is hosted in its GitHub repository. Any licence for that code is set out in the repository itself; nothing on the Website grants you any additional rights.
7.Your responsibilities
You agree not to use the Website or the Mods for anything unlawful, to cheat, harass or harm other players, or to break the rules of any game or platform. You are responsible for your own conduct and for anyone you play with using a Mod.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses or costs arising from your misuse of the Website or the Mods or your breach of these terms.
8.Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or remove the Website or any Mod, or change these terms, at any time and without notice. The version of these terms published on the Website is the one that applies, and continuing to use the Website or the Mods means you accept it.
9.General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply, and the unenforceable part will be applied to the fullest extent allowed. If we do not enforce any part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
10.Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through our GitHub organisation.
